Kim Ji Seok and Lee Ju Myoung, who have been publicly dating for two years, are drawing attention after Kim made comments that many interpreted as hinting at marriage.
During the June 8th episode of SBS’s Uh, But Like, Seriously!, Kim revealed that Lee is still saved in his phone under the name “Writer Joo.”
Explaining the unusual contact name, Kim said, “When we first started dating, we were keeping our relationship private, so I couldn’t save her under her real name. I saved her as ‘Writer Joo,’ and I just never changed it. It never even crossed my mind.”
Kim also spoke about his views on marriage, prompting speculation from viewers.
“I’ve noticed that a lot of married colleagues spend a lot of time apologizing,” he said with a laugh. “I want to be the kind of husband who doesn’t have to apologize as much, meaning someone who already knows what needs to be done without being told.”
Kim Ji Seok and Lee Ju Myoung confirmed their relationship in 2024 after dating rumors emerged. Rather than remaining silent, both stars quickly acknowledged the relationship, making their romance public.
Born in 1981 and 1993, the couple has a 12-year age gap. Despite the difference, they have continued to openly support one another’s careers while maintaining a stable relationship.
Their relationship attracted additional attention when Lee Ju Myoung later signed with Alien Company, the agency where Kim had previously been represented, placing them under the same management company.
The couple also made headlines last year after reports surfaced that they had traveled to Hawaii together, further fueling public interest in their relationship.
With Kim’s latest comments about the kind of husband he hopes to be, some fans are wondering whether wedding bells could eventually be in the couple’s future.
