An executive at a well-known Korean entertainment agency has been handed over to prosecutors after allegedly sexually assaulting an intoxicated woman and abandoning her on the street, leaving her permanently blind in one eye.

The incident took place along a major six-lane road in Seoul’s Gangnam district. CCTV footage shows a white SUV approaching a heavily intoxicated woman struggling to stay on her feet. After calling out to her as she tried to move toward the sidewalk, the driver persuaded her into the vehicle and drove off.

Roughly twenty minutes later, the SUV stopped in a narrow alleyway behind a row of shops. Although the executive initially denied the accusation during police questioning, investigators restored interior footage of the parked vehicle using AI technology—clearly revealing the assault.

The video then shows the man pulling the woman out of the passenger seat. She collapses, and he drags her toward the roadside. When a patrol car suddenly appears, he positions himself in front of her, pretending to be an acquaintance. Moments later, he leaves her seated against a utility pole and drives away. At the time, the victim was bleeding heavily from severe facial injuries.

The woman remained abandoned for an hour and a half before a passerby reported her condition. She was transported to police and emergency services, where she was diagnosed with a cerebral hemorrhage, a skull fracture, and optic-nerve damage. Because she did not receive immediate treatment, she permanently lost vision in her left eye.

“Recently, she even received an official disability evaluation,” the victim’s family says. “She doesn’t leave the house anymore and refuses to look in the mirror.”

The Seoul Seocho Police Department has charged the executive—identified only with the last name Go—with quasi-sexual assault and negligence causing bodily injury, and forwarded the case to prosecutors for further action.
