Yeo Jin Goo’s agency has addressed the controversy after his official social media account followed an account linked to adult content.
A representative from Yeo Jin Goo’s side explained on July 24th that the account is managed by one of their staff members and it was simply a mistake. The person from the agency added, “We will make sure this doesn’t happen again in the future.”
Earlier that day, controversy arose on online communities when it was revealed that Yeo Jin Goo’s X (formerly Twitter) account had followed an account known for sharing adult content. The account is reportedly involved in distributing illegal material such as sexual exploitation videos and hidden camera footage. When the account noticed Yeo Jin Goo’s follow, the user posted, “Oh, I think you pressed the wrong button,” and shared a screenshot as proof.
The account has since been removed from Yeo Jin Goo’s following list.
Fans have expressed their disappointment, commenting, “It seems like the manager made a mistake” and “Given that it’s an actor’s account, they should have been more careful.”
Meanwhile, Yeo Jin Goo recently appeared in the TVING Original series The Great Escape: The Story.
