Song Hye Kyo revealed a close and supportive friendship with one of the country’s most prominent business leaders, Park Yong Man.

On July 14th, the star of Netflix’s hit series The Glory shared several photos on social media thanking Park, the former chairman of Doosan Group, a massive industrial conglomerate ranked as South Korea’s 18th largest corporation.

The post featured a new book of essays written by Park himself, which was published on July 10th. Song wrote, “Thank you for always being a source of strength.”

Instead of a high-powered business memoir, Park’s book offers personal reflections on life after stepping down from the corporate world, focusing on his quiet daily routines and thoughts as a regular citizen and family man.

What truly captured fans’ attention was a heartfelt, handwritten note on the first page addressed directly to the actress. It read, “I am cheering for your today, Hye Kyo. Because tomorrow is made from today,” highlighting the warm and sincere nature of their unlikely friendship.

Meanwhile, Song Hye Kyo is set to star alongside Gong Yoo in the upcoming Netflix series Show Business. The star-studded cast also includes Cha Seung Won, Lee Ha Nee and Seolhyun.
