Song Kang is officially gearing up for his post-military comeback. According to SPOTVNEWS, the actor is set to lead the upcoming youth drama Four Hands (literal title), with production slated to begin after his discharge in October.

The title Four Hands refers to a piano duet technique in which two performers play on the same instrument—a fitting metaphor for the show’s exploration of love, friendship, rivalry, and personal growth. The story centers around students at an elite arts high school and follows them into adulthood.

In the series, Song will play a gifted pianist who combines brilliance with a sharp, enigmatic presence.

The actor enlisted in the army in April 2023 and is currently serving as an active-duty soldier. With his service ending on October 1st, Four Hands is widely expected to mark his official return to the screen.

Widely loved as one of the MZ generation’s ultimate heartthrobs, Song Kang became a household name through his starring roles in several Netflix hits including Love Alarm, Sweet Home, Nevertheless, and Forecasting Love and Weather. He further proved his dramatic range in Navillera and more recently, My Demon.

Before enlisting, Song wrapped filming for Sweet Home 3, served as the host for I-LAND 2, and made a special appearance in the film Escape—maintaining a packed schedule to minimize his hiatus. Even during his service, industry insiders say he received constant casting offers, a testament to his top-tier status.

Meanwhile, Four Hands is now deep in pre-production and casting.
