NewJeans has appointed additional legal counsel as they prepare for the second hearing in a lawsuit filed by their agency, ADOR, to confirm the validity of their exclusive contract.
According to legal sources, the group submitted a request to add attorneys to their legal team on May 9th, ahead of the second hearing scheduled for June 5th. The group is now represented by Sejong Law Firm, with a total of 13 lawyers assigned to the case. Among them are attorneys who previously represented former ADOR CEO Min Hee Jin.
ADOR, on the other hand, has enlisted 12 lawyers from the Kim & Chang Law Firm. While the number of attorneys does not directly influence the trial’s outcome, both sides have mobilized significant legal teams from top South Korean law firms, signaling their determination in the dispute.
