Jo Bo Ah candidly shared her thoughts on Tangeum and how her perspective has changed since getting married.

The actress made headlines with her surprise wedding announcement last year, and she revealed that the show was actually filmed while she was still single.

“It feels a bit strange watching the drama now that I’m married,” she said. “When I see myself on screen, it almost feels like a younger version of me, like ‘baby Jo Bo Ah’ is acting in it. So much has happened in my life since then.”

She added that she watched the show both alone and with her husband. “There are romantic scenes, of course, but he understands. It’s part of my job.”

Marriage had always been something Jo envisioned for herself. “

I’ve always dreamed of a happy marriage and had a real passion for a successful career since I was a kid,” she shared. “I tried to postpone it as much as I could, but I was preparing for it in my own way. I grew up in a warm and loving home, and I’ve always wanted a marriage like my parents’.”

Jo had planned to make her post-marriage comeback with Disney Plus’s Knock-Off, in which she co-stars with actor Kim Soo Hyun. However, the drama’s release was postponed due to controversies surrounding Kim, leading Jo to return to the screen instead with Tangeum on Netflix.

When asked about the delay of Knock-Off, Jo responded cautiously. “I’m being mindful of what I say, as my words could unintentionally hurt someone. So I’d prefer to stay quiet.”

Despite the setback, she still expressed deep affection for the unreleased series. “It’s a project we all poured our hearts into. Everyone worked really hard and supported one another through a long production process. I believe that one day, people will recognize those efforts, and it’ll lead to good results.”

Because of the Knock-Off filming schedule, Jo hasn’t had a chance to go on a honeymoon yet. When asked about any future plans, she replied with a smile, “There are no concrete plans at the moment.”

When asked whether marriage has changed how she approaches acting, Jo answered honestly. “I’d be lying if I said it hasn’t changed anything, but I try not to overthink it. I made this choice, and I’m ready to accept whatever comes with it. I just want to enjoy the journey and keep doing my best.”

She also spoke about the sense of inner peace she’s gained since tying the knot. “I feel more grounded now. There’s a sense of stability I didn’t have before.”

Jo’s husband has also drawn attention from fans, especially after some online commenters asked whether he was “good at fighting.” Laughing, she responded, “People have asked that, but honestly, I’d win! He’s very handsome in my eyes, anyway. I think I’m the lucky one.”
