Lee Si Young and her businessman husband have parted ways after eight years of marriage.
On the morning of the 17th, Lee Si Young’s agency, Ace Factory, stated, “Both parties have mutually agreed to proceed with the divorce amicably.” They added, “As this is a personal matter concerning actress Lee Si Young, we kindly ask for your understanding that we cannot respond to further inquiries,” keeping their response brief.
Lee Si Young tied the knot with Cho, a businessman nine years older than her, in September 2017. Cho, a well-known name in the restaurant world often dubbed “Little Baek Jong Won,” made their wedding a hot topic at the time. The couple welcomed a son the following year.
Recently, Lee Si Young posted a cryptic message on social media: “I hope some sunlight comes into my life too,” hinting at her emotional state.
Lee Si Young debuted in 2008 and rose to fame through the drama Boys Over Flowers and the variety show We Got Married. Last year, she starred in Netflix’s Sweet Home Seasons 2 and 3, playing Seo Yi Kyung, a former special forces firefighter. Her fierce, warrior-like action scenes received widespread praise.
