Netflix has officially confirmed the return of Squid Game for a third and final season, set to premiere on June 27th. The announcement came from Bela Bajaria, Netflix’s Head of Content, during the “Next on Netflix” event, accompanied by exclusive first-look images and an intriguing preview of what’s ahead for the remaining players.
Picking up from where Season 2 left off, the new season follows Gi Hun (Lee Jung Jae) as he faces tough choices in the midst of despair. Meanwhile, the Front Man (Lee Byung Hun) makes his next move, and the remaining players find themselves in even more dangerous situations with each new game. This season promises intense suspense and drama that will keep viewers hooked.

The newly unveiled launch poster sets an ominous tone: a pink-clad guard drags a bloodied contestant toward a coffin wrapped in a signature pink ribbon. Gone is the multicolored track from Season 2’s six-legged pentathlon; in its place, a swirling flower-patterned floor hints at the ruthless challenges ahead. The eerie silhouettes of Young Hee and Cheol Su—first teased in last season’s post-credit scene—suggest even deadlier games to come.
Season 2 shattered records, becoming the third most-watched Netflix season ever with 68 million views upon release. It also dominated the Top 10 TV Series (Non-English) rankings across 92 countries, setting a new benchmark for premiere-week viewership.

Now, the final chapter is here. Squid Game Season 3 premieres June 27th, only on Netflix.
