Rented in Finland promises a laugh-out-loud adventure as Lee Je Hoon, Lee Dong Hwi, Kwak Dong Yeon, and Cha Eun Woo swap their urban comforts for the rustic challenges of rural Finland.
The upcoming variety show follows the actors as they attempt to live in a remote Finnish village, Lapland, completely disconnected from electricity, running water, and Wi-Fi. As they explore the world’s happiest country, they’ll interact with locals and discover the quirks of rural Finland.
The teaser gives a sneak peek into their chaotic countryside adventures, featuring the group’s wide-eyed reactions to the breathtaking yet unforgiving wilderness. “I had no idea it would be this intense,” one of them says in awe of the expansive landscapes.
From chopping firewood to cooking meals over an open flame and even bonding with reindeers, the actors are pushed out of their comfort zones. Lee Je Hoon is spotted sprinting in a wool hat, while Lee Dong Hwi takes on the challenge of washing clothes the old-fashioned way. Kwak Dong Yeon gets fully immersed in splitting logs, and Cha Eun Woo fetches water from a spring, learning to adapt to life without modern conveniences.
One scene that’s sure to have viewers in stitches is Lee Je Hoon announcing, “I’ve really let it all go,” before breaking into an adorable twerk in front of his younger castmates. Meanwhile, Cha Eun Woo, drenched and exuding unintentional sexiness, earns a playful scolding from Lee Dong Hwi: “Eun Woo, take it down a notch,” leading to a burst of laughter.
Rented in Finland promises an endearing and comedic glimpse at luxury-loving city actors navigating the rugged simplicity of Finnish village life. The show is set to premiere on December 6th at 8:40 PM KST.
