JAY B, the leader of GOT7 and a solo artist, is preparing to make his return after completing his military service. According to his agency, Mauve Company, JAY B will be discharged as a social service agent after approximately one year and nine months of alternative service. He released his special EP, Seasonal Hiatus, in February 2023 and has diligently fulfilled his military duties since then.

JAY B debuted in 2012 with the KBS2 drama Dream High 2 and later joined the boy group GOT7, marking the start of his music career. Following the expiration of GOT7’s contract, he has continued to thrive as a solo artist.

In May 2021, JAY B found himself in the spotlight when fans noticed images of specific female body parts in the background of his room during a live broadcast on his personal account. JAY B clarified, “I had pictures of an artist I admire displayed,” and expressed regret, stating, “I apologize for the display in a setting accessible to fans of all ages. I will be more cautious in the future.”

Another controversy emerged after he enlisted in the military. In July 2023, it was revealed that JAY B had sent direct messages to a civilian woman, asking about her activities and referencing her social life. He explained, “She sent me a DM first, and out of curiosity, I posted a story visible to only a few close friends, but someone captured it and spread it.” He emphasized, “We have no relationship, and we are no longer in contact.”

Meanwhile, following his discharge, JAY B plans to launch a global fandom platform on Saturday and greet fans for the first time through a live stream.
