The emotional moment quickly turned joyful as the BTS members arrived to celebrate his discharge. Emerging from the base at 8:50 AM, Jin greeted the press with a salute. RM, serving in the military band, performed BTS’s hit song “Dynamite” on the saxophone, adding to the celebration. J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook also embraced Jin warmly, congratulating him on his return. Suga, currently fulfilling his service as a public service worker, was not present.

Jin expressed his love for his fans as he departed in a prepared vehicle, waving and shouting, “Hi, ARMY!” and “Goodbye!”

Recognizing the global attention on Jin’s discharge, significant security measures were in place, including 80 police officers, private security, and military personnel. Fortunately, ARMY fans respected Big Hit Music’s request to avoid the site to prevent any safety issues, choosing instead to celebrate by placing banners outside the base with messages like, “Seokjin, you did great for 548 days,” and “We will always stay by your side with unwavering love.”

Jin’s first post-discharge event is the 2024 FESTA, a celebration of BTS’s debut anniversary with fans. He is set to attend the offline event on June 13th in Songpa-gu, Seoul, marking his return to public life.
