Park Shin Hye and Park Hyung Sik’s Doctor Slump became the most-watched non-English series on Netflix.
According to FlixPatrol’s data on February 7th, Doctor Slump accumulated 2.9 million views between January 29th and February 4th, propelling it eight spots to claim the number one position in just one week.
Doctor Slump dominated the charts in nine countries, including South Korea, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Malaysia and Singapore, and secured a spot in the Top 10 in 31 different countries.
The series follows the story of Nam Ha Neul (played by Park Shin Hye) and Yeo Jeong Woo (Park Hyung Sik), who unexpectedly reunite after 14 years at their lowest points in life. The drama marks Park Shin Hye’s return to acting after a three-year hiatus following her marriage and the birth of her child.
In other noteworthy updates, Shin Se Kyung and Jo Jung Suk’s Captivating the King rose to No.6 in the global non-English TV category. My Demon, starring Song Kang and Kim Yoo Jung, secured the seventh position and stayed in the Top 10 for the eleventh consecutive week. Meanwhile, The Bequeathed slipped down eight spots to ninth place after a week, while Welcome to Samdal-ri, starring Ji Chang Wook and Shin Hye Sun, took the tenth position following its conclusion on January 21st.
