However, a previously undisclosed aspect of this charitable journey has recently come to light. Before making the donation, Son Ye Jin, accompanied by her agency’s CEO, personally visited the Baby Box located in Nangok-ro, Gwanak-gu, Seoul, at the end of last year. During this visit, she met with the babies under emergency protection and the volunteers.

Son Ye Jin was visibly touched upon learning how the various donations not only save the lives of these babies but also contribute to savings accounts for children needing support after leaving orphanages. Her heartfelt empathy translated into a sincere donation.

At the time of the donation, the actress shared, “In these tough and challenging times, more than ever, these children desperately need a helping hand. I wanted my donation to be a warm Christmas gift that melts their hearts.”

In addition to this, Son Ye Jin has been actively involved in various philanthropic efforts. This includes a donation of 100 million KRW (approximately $83,500 USD) for the prevention and treatment of COVID-19 among low-income families. Alongside Hyun Bin, she also donated 200 million KRW (approximately $167,000 USD) for the victims of wildfire disasters. Earlier this year, she even organized a bazaar, donating all the proceeds.

Through her diverse charitable endeavors, Son Ye Jin has become a social role model. She exemplifies the true elegance of a top star, not just in her professional life but also in her profound commitment to giving back to the community.
