In the spring of 1945, a time marked by profound darkness, two young souls fought for survival against a monster born of greed. This riveting tale is the heart of Netflix’s Gyeongseong Creature, which recently released a special romance poster that is capturing hearts and imaginations.

The poster features Park Seo Joon and Han So Hee amidst a shower of cherry blossoms, their faces etched with the scars of their desperate struggles. Their solemn expressions foretell a heart-wrenching fate they’ll live through. Park Seo Joon, portraying Jang Tae Sang, and Han So Hee, playing Yoon Chae Ok, exchange poignant lines, “Please, don’t die” and “Remember me,” signifying their desperate hope for better times beyond the dark era.

Tae Sang and Chae Ok embark on a covert mission to unravel the secrets of Ongseong Hospital, initially meeting as foes but gradually developing curiosity and a deep connection as they share a common goal. The two become increasingly indispensable to each other as they confront not only the secrets hidden deep within the hospital but also people who are even more monstrous than monsters.

The actors shared, “Initially, they were like enemies, but as misunderstandings unraveled, they began to feel a sense of kinship and compassion, leading to a gradual buildup of emotions” (Park Seo Joon), and “Meeting Tae Sang initially brought confusion about trust, but gradually, Chae Ok finds a sense of kinship with him. It’s like she’s looking into a mirror when she sees him, despite their vastly different lives” (Han So Hee).

Park Seo Joon shared about their on-screen chemistry: “I received a lot of inspiration from her, and it helped create great synergy.” Han So Hee added, “He was truly Tae Sang on set, helping me focus and see him as Tae Sang through Chae Ok’s eyes.”

In addition, the unique atmosphere of Gyeongseong Creature is further enriched by its original soundtrack lineup. The title song “FOREVER” by Suho is an uptempo dance track that reflects the intense suspense of the narrative. “Time,” collaborated on by Baek A and LEAFY, features gentle piano and classical arrangements, escalating to powerful percussive beats that capture the dramatic and fateful unfolding of the story.

Finally, Gyeongseong Creature Part 1 will premiere on Netflix on December 22nd, 2023, followed by Part 2 on January 5th, 2024.
