Jung Hae In has recently made a powerful impression with just a five-minute special appearance in the film 12.12: The Day.

12.12: The Day, which opened on the 22nd and is currently generating a box office whirlwind, is receiving acclaim for its cast’s performances. Alongside praise for main actors like Hwang Jung Min, Jung Woo Sung, and more, special mentions are also being made for the performances of actors in cameo roles, including Jung Hae In.

Jung Hae In plays Major Oh Jin Ho, secretary of the Republic of Korea Army Special Warfare Commander, a role inspired by the real-life figure, Lieutenant Colonel Kim Oh Rang.

From his first appearance, Jung Hae embodies the steadfast stance of a special forces officer. Even in crisis, he built the character’s narrative with a firm voice and loyal demeanor.

In the latter half of the film, Oh Jin Ho engages in a lonely battle against the 12.12 insurgents to protect his superior, General Gong Su Hyuk (Jung Man Sik). Jung Hae In portrays the true soldier fighting injustice while safeguarding his superior. Despite his brief screen time, he creates an impact as powerful as the lead characters.

Previously, Jung Hae In garnered acclaim for his role in the Netflix series D.P. about soldiers capturing army deserters. Audiences are ecstatic about his special appearance in 12.12: The Day, feeling a continuity of worlds between D.P. and this film. His casting was facilitated by D.P. director Han Jun Hee, who helped bridge the connection after director Kim Sung Soo consulted him for a script review.
