Han So Hee recently dazzled in a luxurious photoshoot for Esquire Korea, in collaboration with the luxury watch brand Omega. This appearance coincides with her lead role in the eagerly anticipated Netflix series Gyeongseong Creature, set to release on December 22.
In her interview, Han shared her mixed emotions about the upcoming series, stating, “Half of me can’t wait to see Gyeongseong Creature, while the other half is so nervous and scared that I almost wish it wouldn’t come.” She humorously added, “It’s been two years since we shot it, and I can’t remember how I acted, what expressions I made, or even the storyline. When I watch it, I might react with, ‘Huh? I shot this?'”
The actress emphasized the importance of honesty in acting in various interviews. She remarked, “Actors often need to look in the mirror, which is why they know what makes them look beautiful. However, when shooting a project, it’s about completely forgetting that and becoming the character, letting go of the desire to show the beauty of Han So Hee. That’s what I consider the honesty of acting.” She further explained, “It also means excluding all external factors that could disrupt the character you’re portraying. That’s why, when I’m working on a project, I don’t look in the mirror much.”
Recently, Han So Hee has been introspective about what emotions are, turning to books like “Journal de deuil” and “The Book of Disquiet” for deeper understanding. She reflected, “What I’ve realized through these books is that we should always question our emotions. Remembering how many people I smiled at today, how my day went, what I felt, or how many actions you forced yourself to do—remembering those helps immensely in life. It’s easy to overlook our own exhaustion in the hustle of daily life.”
