The upcoming episode of SBS’ My Little Old Boy offers a glimpse into Lee Dong Gun‘s life after his divorce.
In the preview for the upcoming episode, Shin Dong Yup welcomed Lee Dong Gun, saying, “I never imagined I would be meeting you on My Little Old Boy,” as he made a guest appearance on the show with his mother.
Lee Dong Gun shared that it has been three years since his divorce, stating, “I didn’t want to go home because I felt so lonely after two people moved out of the house. I felt the need to move into a smaller place.”
He was also seen talking with his daughter on the phone. When his daughter called him “Dad,” his eyes welled up with tears. He asked, “I miss you so much, Roa. Do you miss me too?” to which she answered, “I miss you as much as the 15th floor of my apartment.”
Dong Gun then asked, “Why didn’t you write me a letter?” and she replied, “I will,” leaving him overwhelmed with emotions.
In an interview with the production team, the actor revealed, “I’ve been seeing her every Sunday since I got divorced. I’m her dad, and I want to support her and see her grow up happy.”
Lee Dong Gun met Jo Yoon Hee through the 2017 drama The Gentlemen of Wolgyesu Tailor Shop. The two tied the knot and welcomed a lovely daughter but divorced in 2020.
At the press event for Celebrity in June, he revealed that he took a break from work to spend more time with his daughter.
