It’s not just the BLACKPINK members who are tight-knit—their moms are in on the friendship too!
Allkpop reported on the 20th that the internet has been buzzing over recent photos of Jennie and Lisa‘s mothers. The pictures were snapped during Coachella, held this past April in California.
In the captured moments, Jennie and Lisa’s moms are seen walking around, donning wristbands after enjoying their daughters’ performances. Fans chimed in, praising the bond between BLACKPINK members and their families. Comments ranged from “BLACKPINK really seems like a family. Their parents look close too,” to “The moms are so cute,” and even “A friendship that crosses borders. I wonder if they speak in English.”
A source revealed that the photos were taken during the after-party, following the end of the Coachella. With both BLACKPINK members and their parents gathered in one place, anticipation is sky-high for more such heartwarming snapshots to be released.
On a side note, BLACKPINK made their debut in August 2016. As they pass the seven-year mark, all eyes are on their contract renewal status with their agency, YG Entertainment. YG has released a statement saying, “There’s nothing confirmed regarding a contract renewal and future activities. It’s still in discussions.”
The world watches with bated breath to see if BLACKPINK will beat the “seven-year jinx” in the K-pop world and continue to stick together as a group.
