Idol trainer-turned-YouTuber In Ji Woong revealed the payment details for the idols who took the stage at the World Scout Jamboree K-Pop Super Live Concert on his YouTube channel.
The YouTuber stated, “I’ll be discussing how the government is using K-pop stars to fix the mess they created. I’ve received numerous calls from industry insiders, including a former CEO from one of the three major agencies. The ex-CEO subtly indicated that the Jamboree concert has underlying issues.”
He underscored how the impressive lineup of the concert highlights the influence of public support. “All the idols had to cancel their existing plans to participate in this Jamboree concert,” he explained. He added that preparing everything for such an event in three days is nearly impossible. To achieve this, each agency’s staff had no option but to work through the night.
In Ji Woong also claimed, “The government is pushing the agencies to comply with their plan, almost coercing them by hinting at potential disadvantages they could face during the tax investigation season if they don’t cooperate. It’s as if corporations and citizens are cleaning up the government’s mess.”
The former trainer continued to unveil more about the current Jamboree issue in the comment section. He wrote, “I researched and discovered that the performers’ appearance fees haven’t even been discussed yet. I’ve never seen K-pop artists perform without knowing how much they’ll be paid.”
The 2023 K-Pop Super Live Concert was initially scheduled at the Saemangeum campsite on August 6th, but it was later relocated to Seoul World Cup Stadium due to a typhoon warning at the original venue.
