Gong Hyo Jin Says She Didn’t Want to Get Married Until She Met Her Husband Kevin Oh

Gong Hyo Jin recently revealed how she went from not wanting to get married to wanting to get married after meeting her husband, Kevin Oh.

On the 28th, Jung Jae Hyung’s YouTube show “Fairy Table” released a new episode where Gong Hyo Jin made a delightful guest appearance. Seeing Gong Hyo Jin, the singer exclaimed, “Your face is glowing,” hinting at her blissful newlywed life and expressing curiosity about her love story with Kevin Oh.

Jung Jae Hyung mentioned, “I knew Kevin before you two got together. After sharing a drink with him, I found him to be such a great person. And when you both came to my house, I had a hunch. You two were perfect for each other.”

Opening up about her love life, Gong Hyo Jin shared, “I’m quite cautious when it comes to dating, so I don’t have many actual dating experiences. I don’t easily fall for someone. Through my relationships, I thought marriage and I were incompatible, leading to my decision to not get married.” That’s why she was honest with Kevin Oh about her plans from the get-go.

“Actually, even my mom sometimes told me ‘Having no kids is bliss.’ Having a baby can bring happiness but also a lot of worries, and at times, they won’t just listen,” the actress continued. “She supported whatever I wanted and said if I were you, I would not marry and focus on my career.” She humorously added, “I don’t think my mom and dad got along so well,” eliciting laughter.

So, what made Gong Hyo Jin open her heart to Kevin Oh? The actress confessed, “My feelings changed. He’s an angel. Even now, I still think he seems like an angel. That’s why he’s saved as ‘Angel’ on my phone. He’s a kind person,” emphasizing that it was Kevin Oh’s angelic personality that made her change her heart.

For context, Gong Hyo Jin tied the knot with singer-songwriter Kevin Oh, ten years her junior, last October.
