Could the persistent dating rumors with BTS’s V have led to this? BLACKPINK’s Jennie has blocked the direct message function on her Instagram account. This move seems to be in response to the influx of DM inquiries that followed the spread of sightings of their romantic date in Paris, France.
As of the 19th, Jennie’s Instagram has limited its DM function. Instagram explained that the DM restriction feature was established “to protect public figures such as entertainers and athletes when they suddenly become the focus of a hot topic, from harassment by unspecified individuals.”
Jennie has perpetuated her ongoing dating rumors with V when a video was released on the 18th that showed her on a romantic stroll in Paris with a person suspected to be V.
Both Jennie and V have already been implicated in dating rumors multiple times. Reports of a date in Jeju Island and pictures of a couple (presumed to be them) enjoying a drive together were leaked.
Notably, the Paris date clip released this time also captured their managers following the artists, leading to interpretations that the two are now basically going public with their relationship. In the video, V and Jennie seemed unperturbed by the gaze of others.
However, as the silence from both agencies continues, it appears that Jennie’s Instagram has been flooded with direct inquiries and criticism from fans.
