Kai, a member of the popular K-pop group EXO, is set to hold a fan meet on May 9th before enlisting in the military.

SM Entertainment, EXO’s agency, announced the event on May 4th, revealing that it will take place at YES 24 Live Hall in Seoul at 7 PM.

However, due to limited space at the venue, only members of the official paid fan club are allowed to pre-register for the event, according to a statement on SM Entertainment’s Kwangya platform.

The label explained on its platform Kwangya, “Those who are unable to make it can also enjoy the live broadcast of the event through EXO’s official YouTube channel for free. We’d like to ask you to understand any inconvenience we may cause as the event is solely for fans who love and support the artist to enjoy. We will quickly give you updates on further details about the event.”

After the announcement, Kai expressed his excitement on Bubble, a social media platform for K-pop idols. He wrote, “I successfully blackmailed the company… we will finally have a fan meet ♥ If you just furrow your brow you can make everything happen.”

Kai is scheduled to enlist as a public service worker on May 11th after completing his basic military training.
