BTS member V’s good deed towards Perro, the dog he bonded with while filming tvN’s show Jinny’s Kitchen, has recently come to light.
Jinny’s Kitchen, the spin-off of Youn’s Kitchen, is the food variety show where the cast opens a small snack bar overseas. In Bacalar, Mexico, Lee Seo Jin, Jung Yu Mi, Park Seo Joon, Choi Woo Shik, and V presented K-snacks like kimbap, ramen, and tteokbokki.
Perro is a black dog that accompanied the cast throughout the filming. One day, Perro suddenly walked into the restaurant and soon settled in to welcome guests and help with cleaning up, becoming an honorary employee and guardian dog. V and all the other staff members took care of and adored Perro.
It has been revealed that V took special care of Perro before leaving Mexico. The following post on Twitter went viral- “A Mexican ARMY whose mom works at the vet shared that Perro the dog was adopted by one of the staff members that resided in Mexico. Taehyung paid for Perro’s vaccinations and treatments for his injured paw and made sure was looked after before he left for Korea.”
V, who has a pet Pomeranian named Yeontan, has touched many hearts with his deep affection for dogs. Although V has previously expressed his longing for Perro by posting a picture of the dog on his social media, he has never shared this behind-the-scenes story himself.
An earlier report regarding BTS member V’s act of kindness towards Perro, the dog he befriended while filming Jinny’s Kitchen, has been clarified.
It has now been confirmed that it was not V but a drone camera staff member from the production team of Jinny’s Kitchen who paid for the cost of the COVID-19 vaccine and treatment for Perro’s injured leg. Although V has never shared any behind-the-scenes stories himself, he has previously expressed his deep love for dogs, including Perro.
The final episode of Jinny’s Kitchen is set to air at 8:50 PM KST on the 5th.
