Netflix has confirmed the release date for its upcoming drama Queenmaker and has dropped a new teaser poster and trailer featuring Moon So Ri and Kim Hee Ae.

The series revolves around a female publicity expert named Hwang Do Hee (played by Kim Hee Ae) who is known for her incredible skills in shaping public perception, and a human rights lawyer named Oh Seung Sook (played by Moon So Ri), who has dedicated her life to fighting for justice. The story follows Do Hee as she helps Seung Sook become the next mayor of Seoul.

The new poster portrays the striking contrast between the two women, with Do Hee appearing calm and composed, while Seung Sook exudes an intense, burning desire with her piercing gaze.

Director Oh Jin Suk commented, “My goal was to showcase the distinct acting styles of each character in the show, making it enjoyable for even those with no interest in politics.”

The trailer features Do Hee, a former member of the Eun Sung Group’s Future Strategy Planning Office, joining forces with human rights lawyer Seung Sook to help her win the mayoral campaign.

The scene quickly shifts to various characters fiercely competing to win the election. Another mayoral candidate, Baek Jae Min (played by Ryu Soo Young), is seen warning that “people love extravagant gestures,” while the Group’s chairman, Son Young Shim (played by Seo Yi Sook), aims a rifle at Do Hee, whom she once cherished.

Queenmaker will be released on April 14th.
