Some are pointing out that Yoo Ah In‘s past behavior may be due to drug side effects amid the controversy surrounding his alleged drug use.
The most problematic scene occurred when Yoo Ah In appeared on MBC’s I Live Alone in June 2020. At the time, he was seen breathing roughly even though he had only climbed a few steps and exhibited odd behaviors, such as suddenly standing still and stuttering severely. Some viewers responded, “Even then, he didn’t seem normal,” and “I thought he just had a unique mind, but looking at it again, it’s strange.”
That’s not all. At the 41st Blue Dragon Film Awards hand-printing event held in November 2021, he exhibited the same behavior during an interview, even though he was not in a situation where he was acting. At the time, he showed non-typical behavior, such as grimacing excessively or tilting his head and stuttering while speaking.
“One expert commented in an interview with YTN News regarding these scenes, stating, “I can see that he is repeating the same gestures over and over again, such as making the tapping sounds. I believe that this indicates he was already addicted to drugs at that time.”
