Netflix dropped the first teaser poster for its new original series Black Knight.
Black Knight is set in a dystopian 2071 devastated by air pollution where the survival of humanity depends on the Black Knights who are not your average delivery men. The legendary Black Knight “5-8” and the refugee “Sawol” go up against the Chunmyeong Group that dominates the new world order.
Back in January, Black Knight dropped the first look still featuring Kim Woo Bin, who plays 5-8, and gave the first glimpse into the world where oxygen is controlled.
Black Knight depicts the story of delivery men who travel through the polluted world to deliver oxygen and daily necessities to the 1% of mankind who survived desertification. The first teaser captures the sand-covered world with the collapsing high-rise buildings with a delivery man holding a box of necessary items.
Meanwhile, Black Knight made headlines after the cast lineup of Kim Woo Bin, Song Seung Heon, Kang Yoo Seok, and Esom was finalized. They each appear as 5-8, the heir to the Chunmyeong Group, a refugee who dreams of becoming a black knight, and a military intelligence major. This new series will be released in the second quarter of this year.
