So Ji Sub in Talks to Lead Webtoon-Based Noir Drama ‘Plaza Wars’

So Ji Sub was offered the lead role in the new drama Plaza Wars (literal title).

According to Starnews, So Ji Sub got an offer to star in Plaza Wars. And since the project is in the early stages of its production, the actor will contemplate the offer before making a final decision.

Plaza Wars is the drama adaptation of the webtoon of the same name. It depicts the story of two organizations that survived the battle to gain supremacy over the turf in Yeouido right in front of the National Assembly plaza. The story centers around a man who starts digging into the sudden death of his younger brother who ended up in his rival gang.

Even at the time of the release, the webtoon received favorable reviews for its fast-paced plot, impressive drawings, and for making a new history of the Korean noir genre.

Today, So Ji Sub’s agency 51K Entertainment told OSEN, “So Ji Sub received an offer from the production team to star in Plaza Wars. Nothing has been decided, and he’s still reviewing it.”

Meanwhile, So Ji Sub starred in the movie Alienoid and the drama Doctor Lawyer.
