WJSN’s Bona will be challenging her first-ever historical drama.
MBC’s new Friday-Saturday drama Joseon Lawyer released the first stills of Bona in hanbok. This new series tells the story of a lawyer in the Joseon Dynasty who takes revenge against his enemy that killed his parents through a trial. In the drama, Bona will be working with Woo Do Hwan.
The released photos show Bona as Princess Yi Yeon Joo. Her father, the late king, died before finishing the codification, and on behalf of her father, she wants to kick out the Hungu people from the royal court.
Yi Yeon Joo is a true noblesse oblige figure who believes that her revenge should ultimately benefit the country and the people. Moreover, she hides her identity and lives under the name So Won. What is she plotting, even throwing her life as a princess?
The production team shared, “Bona is an actress with both beauty and stable acting skills, and her attitude in challenging her first historical drama is extraordinary. Bona’s unique acting will breathe life into Princess Yi Yeon Joo’s revenge.”
Meanwhile, Joseon Lawyer will premiere in March.
