Jimin was “in full bloom” for the new pictorial for W Korea.
After the photoshoot, the iconic star sat down for an interview. During which, he opened up about his upcoming solo debut. “I am preparing many things, so I spend considerable time on the direction and plan of the work. I guess you could say my mind has been busier than my body these days (laughs),” he shared.
In such a time, what makes Jimin happy? “ARMY is an obvious answer, but they are the one that makes me the happiest man on the planet (laughs). We’ve been together through thick and thin, through joys and sorrows,” the BTS member answered. “Spending time with my friends would be more of a small happiness in my life – it’s also my only hobby and pastime.”
Jimin also talked about finding the starting point of his solo venture. “I am afraid I haven’t found a big and clear answer,” the idol commented. “I don’t think there is a better answer than ‘I want to do what I do now, better, and for a long time.’ That’s why I am looking back and reflecting on what I have felt in the past.”
He then moved onto what he believes is the “best result.” Jimin said, “It may sound harsh, but I believe what’s important here is the result. The result of giving your all and the feelings you earn from such results are truly on a different level. In order to achieve the best result possible, you really need to focus on just one thing and put in a lot of effort.”
Being a project manager for the special album BE and working on songs must’ve been a lot of help in preparing for his solo songs. “To be honest, I found it harder to start the projects (laughs),” Jimin replied. “I’ve learned how enjoyable and fun it can be, but it’s not easy to write lyrics that reach and touch everyone’s mind. I mean, now I have a new bigger respect for the members for that. I think I was captured by the ideas of ‘I want to do this’ and ‘Can I do it?’ at the same time.”
