TVING unveiled the posters drawn by Yang Kyung Il, the cartoon artist of the original comics.

The new fantasy action series Island follows the journey of characters who have the destiny to fight against the evil that is trying to destroy the world. On the 28th, the new posters that show the perfect resemblance of actors and the original cartoon characters were released.

These posters show Kim Nam Gil, Lee Da Hee, Cha Eun Woo, and Sung Joon cross-edited with the characters they’re playing, personally drawn by Yang Kyung Il.

First, Kim Nam Gil poses as Ban, boasting a dark aura with his piercing eyes. Lee Da Hee also catches the eye with the arrogance and sophistication of third-generation chaebol. The level of perfection that she sought out, even adding a birthmark below her left eye, is also impressive.

Cha Eun Woo seems even more handsome than the cartoon version of Yohan, the youngest exorcist, and Sung Joon radiates charisma as Goong Tan, the most mysterious character in the show and the man abandoned by the world.

The production team shared, “These posters were drawn by cartoon artist Yang Kyung Il himself. These newly created posters, with reference to the characteristics of each character and the resemblance of the actors, show how actors seem to have literally just popped out of the cartoon. Please look forward to the actors’ performances as they breathe life into their roles through detailed explorations.”

Meanwhile, Island will release the first two episodes on TVING at noon on the 30th.
