While BTS’ Jin enlisted as an active duty soldier today, people were impressed by how ARMY refrained themselves from visiting the site as Jin previously requested.
Today, Jin entered the 5th Infantry Division recruit training center in Yeoncheon, Gyeonggi-do, where he’ll be receiving basic military training. On this day, about 200 people joined the army alongside the singer, which was why Jin and Big Hit requested fans to not come to the site to prevent congestion.
Jin personally took to Weverse to write, “ARMY, please don’t come to the training center. A lot of people are gonna be there and it’ll get very crowded, so it could be dangerous.” Big Hit also announced that there would be no separate events for everyone’s safety.
And ARMY responded to their requests. In the past, a slew of fans bid farewell to their beloved stars on the day of their enlistments, but today, not that many ARMY were spotted on the site. Some were present, but the number was, at most, dozens. Instead, the fans said their goodbyes and showed their support through banners.
