Astro’s Cha Eun Woo and IVE’s An Yu Jin will be presenting this year’s SBS Gayo Daejeon, which will take place on December 24th. As they will be the two new emcees of this year’s music festival, fans are revisiting the moment they met for the first time five years ago.
A video titled An Unexpected Encounter Between Two Emcees at the SBS Gayo Daejeon (literal translation) was uploaded online on November 28th.
The clip was a 2017 pharmaceutical TV commercial starring the two K-pop stars. There, An Yu Jin plays a bubbly student who is a big fan of superstar Cha Eun Woo. She appears in a school uniform and accidentally stumbles upon the strikingly handsome star. He helps her get up, and she falls in love with him even more and later steals his life-size cardboard cut-out placed outside of a drug store.
An Yu Jin then goes through a significant makeover and the video ends with Cha Eun Woo saying, “I barely recognized you,” and confessing his feeling for her.
Fans are excited to hear about their reunion as they were only 21 and 15 when they filmed the ad 5 years ago. Some fans commented, “Can’t believe this is really happening,” “An Yu Jin was such a baby back then,” “He never gets old, and she’s become so huge as an idol,” and “Will they remember the ad they filmed five years ago?”
