Disney Plus announced a news that would delight Star Wars fans.
Today, Disney Plus announced the cast of The Acolyte, an upcoming Star Wars Original series from Lucasfilm. Joining the previously announced Amandla Stenberg (The Hate U Give) are Lee Jung Jae (Squid Game), Manny Jacinto (Nine Perfect Strangers), Dafne Keen (His Dark Materials), Jodie Turner-Smith (Queen & Slim), Rebecca Henderson (Inventing Anna), Charlie Barnett (Russian Doll), Dean-Charles Chapman (1917), and Carrie-Anne Moss (The Matrix).
Production on the upcoming Star Wars series ‘THE ACOLYTE’ has begun.

In particular, the cast announced includes Lee Jung Jae, the first Korean actor to win the Emmy Awards and the leading actor representing the K-content, raising expectations.
The Acolyte is a mystery-thriller that takes viewers into a galaxy of shadowy secrets and emerging Dark Side powers in the final days of the High Republic era. The High Republic saw the Jedi Order at its prime centuries prior to the events of Star Wars: The Phantom Menace. Leslye Headland was tapped as the series director, writer, exec producer and showrunner. It’ll be released exclusively on Disney Plus.
