Lee Jong Suk turns into a bomb designer.
Decibel is an action thriller that follows a terrorist, who wants to take over the city with a special bomb that explodes when there is a loud noise, and a former Navy commander, who becomes the target of the terror.
In the movie, Lee Jong Suk plays the terrorist who is also a Navy captain and a Mensa member. With his exceptional intelligence, he builds a special bomb that reacts to sound. Not only will he exude intense charisma, but he’ll also heighten the tension with his confrontation against the former Navy commander who is now the target of the terror.
Moreover, he uses the “noise reaction bomb” to create a dangerous situation in the middle of a city and presents an unavoidable circumstance that’ll corner his target.
Lee Jong Suk plans to captivate the audience with a new character that he’s never shown before. Director Hwang In Ho lavished praise, “The moment the cameras started rolling, everyone on the set froze after seeing his performance that was like a cat turning into a tiger. He perfectly pulls off a very important character and convinces those who see his acting.”
Irreplaceable actors, including Jung Sang Hoon, Park Byung Eun, and Cha Eun Woo, will enrich the tense story Decibel tells.
Jung Sang Hoon plays a reporter who covers the terror after running into a former navy commander. As a willing horse, he’ll solve the clues of the attack, doubling the tension. Park Byung Eun takes on the role of an agent from Defense Security Support Command who shadows the former navy commander who becomes the target of the terror attack. With his sharp and incisive gaze into the situation, he struggles to uncover the identity of the terrorist.
Lastly, there’s Cha Eun Woo, who transforms into a navy non-commissioned officer specializing in submarine sound detection. As a crew member of a submarine, he analyzes underwater acoustic information. The actor will delicately portray the psychology of a man who has great pride in his job.
Decibel will hit the theaters on November 16th.
