Dr. Romantic is returning for season 3.
SBS drama series Dr. Romantic tells the story of “real doctors” in a shabby local hospital named Doldam. The first season, aired in 2016, recorded the highest viewer ratings of 27.6%, and the second season, aired in 2020, garnered 27.1% ratings, reciting great love for two seasons.
With Han Suk Kyu, playing the title role, in the center, Yoo Yeon Seok and Seo Hyun Jin starred in the show in season one. Then in season two, Ahn Hyo Seop and Lee Sung Kyung joined the show as the new leads.
This new season comes from the Dr. Romantic crew, Director Yoo In Shik and writer Kang Eun Kyung. Han Suk Kyu once again joins the production as Dr. Kim, and Ahn Hyo Seop and Lee Sung Kyung reprise their roles in season two.
The production team shared, “Dr. Romantic is a work that we’re grateful for as it has received great love every season. The crew and cast will do their best to prepare for the viewers who still remember and are waiting for the show even after two years. We ask for your interest and anticipation for Dr. Romantic 3 that will come back even stronger.”
Dr. Romantic 3 is slated for release in 2023.
