Disney Plus announced the release date for upcoming thriller series Connect.
Connect follows an immortal man named Dong Soo of a new race called ‘Connect.’ He gets kidnapped by organ traffickers and loses an eye. Later, he finds out that his lost eye has been transplanted to a serial killer who caused a massive uproar in the country and starts to chase him down.
The show will be the first Korean project of Takashi Miike, a famous director behind Audition, Sukiyaki Western Django, Lesson of the Evil and First Love.
Jung Hae In will lead the drama with a shocking transformation that he has never shown before. He will play Dong Soo, who becomes entangled in an unexpected incident and begins to express various emotions as he confronts his true self while on the hunt for a serial killer.
Go Kyung Pyo stars as the serial killer named Jin Seop who gets his hands on the Connect’s eye by chance. He is a two-faced man who seems friendly and kind at work but has an unimaginable side.
Kim Hye Joon will join the cast as Dong Soo’s assistant, Lee Rang, who knows the secret of Connect.
Connect will premiere in December.
