After two long years, comedy’s most fabulous pair Ra Mi Ran and Kim Mu Yeol will reunite to reprise their roles in Honest Candidate 2.
Sequel to the 2010 movie Honest Candidate, the comedy film follows a former congresswoman named Joo Sang Sook (played by Ra Mi Ran) who returns to politics as a governor of Gangwon Province. However, things start to go south as her trusty aide Park Hee Chul (Kim Moo Yeol) appears in front of her with a cursed mouth that only tells the truth.
Seo Hyun Woo, Park Jin Joo and Yoon Doo Joon will join Ra Mi Ran, Kim Mu Yeol, and Yoon Kyung Ho in the upcoming sequel.
In the new film, Joo Sang Sook will find herself unable to lie again, but she is expected to wisely overcome her crises with her successful yet hilarious strategies. Her loyal aide Park Hee Cheol will join her as he can’t keep his mouth shut while spilling his own secrets.
Meanwhile, Ra Mi Ran talked about what it’s like to reprise her role with Kim Mu Yeol in the film. She said, “We have such good chemistry. I didn’t hesitate a second to reprise the role with him.” Kim Mu Yeol also talked about what it was like filming with his co-star. He said, “I learned a lot from Ra Mi Ran by observing how she renders her character.”
Honest Candidate 2 will premiere on September 28th.
