Drama Ranking for the 2nd Week of August
ENA’s Extraordinary Attorney Woo took the top spot for 7 weeks in a row. However, viewers’ poured out dissatisfaction over the unexpected developments such as Woo Young Woo (Park Eun Bin) and Lee Jun Ho’s (Kang Tae Oh) sudden breakup and the cancer diagnosis of Jung Myung Seok (Kang Ki Young). MBC’s Big Mouth continued to see a rise in popularity, keeping its place in second place. Each episode ends with an ending scene that sparks various questions and Lee Jong Suk and YoonA‘s chemistry are getting good responses. tvN’s Alchemy of Souls remained in third place despite a week cancellation, and JTBC’s The Good Detective 2 ranked sixth, up two places from the previous week. ENA’s New Recruit first entered the top 10 chart at seventh place despite airing only one episode in a week, receiving praise that it’s the next best military drama following Netflix’s D.P. KBS’s If You Wish Upon Me, starring Ji Chang Wook and Sooyoung, debuted at No. 8. The overall tone of the show isn’t that bright since it tells the story of terminally ill patients, but it’s delivering comfort in a warm and calm way.

Non-Drama Ranking for the 2nd Week of August
tvN’s Earth Arcade fell one step down to second place, but An Yujin topped the cast ranking for the first time. Girls’ Generation, who took first place last week with their appearance on tvN’s DoReMi Market, came in second this week by guest appearing on JTBC’s Men on a Mission. tvN’s Lined Up Restaurants made the chart for the first time, but Sung Hoon’s unsanitary and rude behaviors sparked a controversy. Because of that, Sung Hoon also ranked third in the cast ranking. MBC’s The Manager, which became a hot topic thanks to Lee Jung Jae and Jung Woo Sung‘s guest appearance, came in fifth.
