Artists from HYBE have proven their immense popularity in the US.
According to Luminate’s 2022 mid-year music report, albums of BTS, SEVENTEEN, TXT, and ENHYPEN entered the top 10 album sales in the US for the first half of 2022. BTS was also named the most-selling artist in the first half of 2022, both in South Korea and in the US. The group proved their talent by �selling a whopping 328,000 copies of their latest album Proof.
TXT came in third as they sold 150,000 copies of their 4th EP, minisode 2: Thursday’s Child, which was released in May last year. The album has been charted on the Billboard 200 for eight consecutive weeks, continuing its longest chart-in record on the list among all K-pop group albums released in 2022.
SEVENTEEN landed at No.8 with their 4th LP, Face the Sun, which was selected as “The Best K-pop Songs and Albums of 2022 So Far” by TIME magazine. The records show that SEVENTEEN has been garnering lots of attention with their music in the US.
ENHYPEN’s repackage album of 1st LP, DIMENSION: ANSWER ranked at No.10. ENHYPEN has set the record of having the shortest music career among all K-pop artists who put their name on Luminate’s Top 10 album list this year.
