Tsunami LA, Kang Dong Won‘s first Hollywood film, has shut down its production.

According to reports made on July 13th, Kang Dong Won’s new Hollywood film has officially wrapped up its filming this month but has halted its production indefinitely.

Directed by Simon West, Tsunami LA is a disaster film about the biggest tsunami in history to hit the city of Los Angeles. The Korean star was initially offered to play an aquarium employee who cannot stand injustice.

Simon West, behind multiple projects including Con Air, The General’s Daughter, Tomb Raider, The Expendables 2, Stolen, Wild Card, and Gun Shy, was to direct the project and Scott Windhauser to write the script.

Soon after filming �Illang: The Wolf Brigade in February of 2018, the celebrity began preparing for his role in April of the same year by taking surfing and English lessons. Despite his best efforts over the past two or three years, the film’s production has been indefinitely halted due to the pandemic situation.
