WINNER is making their long-awaited comeback with HOLIDAY.
On the 5th, WINNER held a press conference to mark the release of their 4th mini-album HOLIDAY at YG headquarters.
On this day, Kang Seung Yoon talked about why the members renewed the contract with YG Entertainment. “The biggest thing was that all four of us stayed together,” he explained. “And the reason we renewed the contract with the label was that it’s comfortable working with the staff we’ve been working with for more than ten years since our trainee days. We thought that working with those staff will make our promotions as WINNER happier.”
Of course, the boys didn’t forget to show their love for the members and WINNER. Lee Seung Hoon said, “WINNER is like a comrade. Even if the bullets are being fired, this is a team that’ll stick together.” Kang Seung Yoon chimed in, “WINNER is a four-leaf clover. This new album uses a four-leaf clover as its symbol. Even if one leaf falls off, the meaning of this clover changes. So it means we’ll stick together like these four leaves do, just like how we’ve been accomplishing things together.”
WINNER also mentioned the music video for the title song “I LOVE U.” Kang Seung Yoon commented, “It’s like the WINNER’s show. We shot the video, but it’s a cheerful MV that makes us smile.” Lee Seung Hoon jokingly added, “There are love scenes of Mino and me. But they’re not R-rated. If you look for that, it’ll make the MV more fun.”
Meanwhile, HOLIDAY will be released today at 6 PM KST.
