IZ*ONE’s Kim Minju will be joining the drama adaptation of the popular web novel The Forbidden Marriage.
According to Hankook Ilbo, Kim Minju has officially joined the new drama The Forbidden Marriage. Earlier, it was reported that Sh**ting Stars star Kim Young Dae, Love All Play actress Park Ju Hyun, and Kwon Hyun Bin were in talks to star in the drama.
The Forbidden Marriage is a fusion romance historical drama based on the web novel of the same name. It tells the story of King Lee Heon, who prohibits marriage after losing his queen 7 years ago. But he meets a woman who claims that she can possess herself into the late queen.
Hankook Ilbo has reported that the drama has been programmed as the new MBC drama and will most likely premiere later this year.
Meanwhile, before Kim Minju made her debut as a member of project group IZ*ONE, she played the younger Moon Ga Young in MBC’s Tempted. Then in 2019, she made a cameo appearance in the web drama A-TEEN Season 2 and showed a solid performance in the movie The Fault Is Not Yours.
