Bona and Woo Do Hwan are in talks to play the lead roles in the new drama Joseon Lawyer (literal title).
Based on the webtoon of the same name, Joseon Lawyer is a fusion historical series that combines romance, legal, and hero genres. It tells a fictional story about Gyeongguk Daejeon, also known as the National Code (a complete code of law that comprises all the laws, customs and decrees released from the late Goryeo Dynasty to the early Joseon Dynasty).
The show revolves around the heroes that help the people who are unjustly treated because they’re illiterate and know nothing about the laws and bring down the haves that abuse their power. And in the process, they’ll finalize the laws that limit the power that’s being abused wrongfully.
Bona’s agency King Kong by Starship and Woo Do Hwan’s agency KeyEast told Dispatch that the actors are positively reviewing the offers they received from Joseon Lawyer.
If they join the show, Woo Do Hwan will play lawyer Kang Han Soo who grows up to be a just lawyer after getting swept up in a big scandal. Bona plays Lee Eon Joo, who hires Kang Han Soo. Eon Joo seems like an ordinary person who was once unfairly treated, but she’s hiding a secret.
Meanwhile, The King: Eternal Monarch actor Woo Do Hwan recently finished his military service. Bona, on the other hand, rose to fame after wrapping up the hit drama Twenty-Five Twenty-One in success.
