‘Alien’ Releases Its Star-Studded First Looks Featuring Kim Woo Bin, Kim Tae Ri, So Ji Sub, Ryu Jun Yeol and More

The first part of Alien has confirmed its summer premiere and revealed its first poster with a brand new launching teaser.

Alien takes place in both the late Goryeo dynasty and the year 2022 due to the creation of a mysterious time portal. It follows a group of ancient wizards in search of a mythical sword and those chasing an alien imprisoned in a human body in the present world.

The film Alien marks Choi Dong Hoon‘s first project in 7 years. Ryu Jun Yeol, Kim Woo Bin, Kim Tae Ri, So Ji Sub, Yum Jung Ah, Jo Woo Jin, Kim Eui Sung, Lee Hanee, Shin Jung Geun, and Lee Si Hoon will be starring in the film.

The newly released launching poster features monks in search of the legendary sword in the late Goryeo Dynasty and those pursuing the run-away alien in 2022 against the backdrop of a massive spaceship.

The poster features a variety of unique characters: a rookie monk named Muruk (played by Ryu Jun Yeol) in search of the divine sword; a superhuman female warrior named Ian (Kim Tae Ri) who can control the thunder; an intergalactic prisoner guard (Kim Woo Bin); an ordinary detective (So Ji Sub) who suddenly finds himself chased by aliens; and two deities (Yum Jung Ah and Cho Woo Jin) residing on the Samgaksan Mountain.

The teaser trailer begins with a modern-day vehicle falling out of the sky in the kingdom of Goryeo, confusing two deities residing in the forest.

The movie announces the grand arrival of the biggest South Korean sci-fi flick of the year by sharing a glimpse of those pursuing the mythical sword and alien from two different timelines with the caption that says, “Here comes the most wondrous and compelling world of all time.”

Alien Part 1. will be released in local theaters this summer.
