Reports say that it was Lee Byung Hun who helped Kim Woo Bin receive an early cancer diagnosis.
A YouTuber named Lee Jin Ho, a former celebrity reporter, live-streamed a YouTube video on April 27th where he mentioned Kim Woo Bin in his talk as the celebrity has just returned to the small screen through tvN’s Our Blues in good health after six years of hiatus.
According to the YouTuber, the actor had a nose bleed around May 2017. However, he did not undergo a medical check-up, simply thinking that he just needed a break from his busy schedule. However, the star went to the hospital the day after he had a drink with Lee Byung Hun, and the YouTuber shared, âI heard that Lee Byung Hun advised Kim Woo Bin to see a doctor when his nose was bleeding at dinner. Thanks to his advice, Kim Woo Bin was able to detect his cancer early.â
After Uncontrollably Fond wrapped in 2016, he took a sudden break and announced his nasopharyngeal cancer diagnosis in 2017. After about three years of treatment, he reappeared as a presenter at the 2019 Blue Dragon Film Awards and remarked, âI extend my gratitude to those who supported me and prayed for me. Thanks to them, I was able to make my return soon in great health.â
