DKZ dropped their sixth single album “CHASE EPISODE 2. MAUM” on April 12th and have since been busy promoting their title track “Cupid.”

According to Hanteo Chart, the K-pop group’s latest single achieved an impressive total sales record by selling 107,965 copies in the first week of its release. The figure is roughly 100 times what the preceding album has recorded. Reports say that this surge in sales resulted from the expanding popularity of the hit BL drama Semantic Error, in which Jaechan starred.

DKZ shared that they have been surprised by such growth in their popularity. They said they are “happy” these days despite their hectic schedule.

“We had an incredible number of first-week album sales. It felt so surreal, like a dream. We are eager to make them happy to repay all the love,” Jaechan revealed.

“Yesterday, I got teary on stage while filming a music program. As three years of hardships flashed before my eyes, I felt like our hard work had paid off. Last year, three of our original members had a harder time than the rest of us, but they had a positive influence on our team, so we were able to toughen up,” Kyoung Yoon expressed.

“We have never been invited to any of the year-end Music Awards. So I wish we’ll have the chance this year. I hope we can repay all the love we received from fans by having a world tour and attending award events held abroad,” Jong Hyeong commented.
