Lee Se Hee will be starring opposite EXO’s D.O, aka Do Kyung Soo, in the upcoming series ‘True Sword Battle’ (literal title).
This new KBS series tells the story of a prosecutor armed with courage and bravado who brings justice for the weak and poor while destroying all corruption within the government and prosecution. He chooses expediency over the law, trickery over the rule, and misconduct over sincerity to eradicate the corruption, allowing an exhilarating thrill for the viewers.
Above all, True Sword Battle will be brought by Netflix’s Move to Heaven director Kim Sung Ho and Sketch writer Im Young Bin. Earlier, Do Kyung Soo officially joined the show to play the male lead.
Lee Se Hee takes on the role of Shin Ah Ra, a senior prosecutor at the Seoul Central District Prosecutors’ Office. She became the right arm for the district attorney with her shrewd and sharp judgments. She gets along well with her colleagues and other prosecutors with her acute political antennae. Outwardly, she is the exact opposite of Jin Jung (Do Kyung Soo), called the nuisance and wacko of the legal system. But actually, she cares for and protects him more than anyone else.
Previously, Lee Se Hee landed the lead role of Young Lady and Gentleman after beating 500 other hopefuls in an audition. The show successfully garnered a whopping 38.3% viewership, and the actress won the best new actress at the KBS Drama Awards last year.
The production team shared, “Please look forward to seeing Lee Se Hee, who’ll show a completely different charm from Young Lady and Gentleman‘s Park Dan Dan as Shin Ah Ra with acute political antennae.”
Meanwhile, True Sword Battle will premiere in the second half of 2022.
