Jessica‘s agency Coridel Entertainment has responded to her leaked profile that had marked her as Joseonjok, a Korean immigrant in China.
Her agency announced that she is joining Chinese Mango TV’s new talent show Sisters Who Make Waves Season 3. The program features female celebrities in their 30s who must compete to debut in a five-member girl group.
However, the unofficial list of participants had marked Jessica as Chinese in her description. In response, her label clarified that it wasn’t either Mango TV representatives or the company themselves that wrote the list and her profile.
Coridel Entertainment added, “We are aware of the ongoing controversy, so we have notified them of the misleading information in her description.” The label admitted that it is true that the singer will be starring in the Chinese reality show. However, they made it clear that the rumor regarding her ranking in the upcoming program was not true. They said, “Some are speculating that she has already made it to the top of the program, but it’s not true since the filming has not yet begun.”
