BLACKPINK’s Rosé was called out for not celebrating Lisa‘s birthday on time.
On the 27th, the day of Lisa’s birthday, Rosé’s Instagram account got filled with heated comments blaming her for not celebrating her peer’s birthday.
There were many comments in English, and most of them described her as a “fake friend.” Some even added, “How can you possibly forget your member’s birthday?” with vomiting emojis and insults criticizing her insensitivity.
Domestic online communities such as DC Inside also raised rumors of discord between the two singers since Rosé did not bother to celebrate her friend’s birthday.
However, a day later, Rosé posted a congratulatory message to Lisa on her IG account. People then realized that it was due to the time difference that she posted her message late. As she is currently staying in the U.S, it makes sense that she celebrated her friend’s birthday on the 27th of U.S. time.
Fans stopped leaving angry comments on Rosé’s Instagram as soon as she wrote her congratulatory remark. Her comment section is currently filled with messages that say: “Now I kind of get that being a celebrity is the hardest job out there,” and “Lisa’s fans who left malicious comments should feel ashamed of themselves.”
